Expedition Team led by ziggurats Urandir going to Mexico to research the Mayan Civilization

Third expedition met the Mayan ruins in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula and drew parallel with the Amazons

Expedition Brazil – ziggurats Team held its third activity in the period from 15 to 21 January 2010 in the Peninsula of Yucatan, Quintana Roo State, Mexico, visiting Mayan ruins in the cities of Chichen-Itza, Tulum and Coba. Participated in the third expedition 87 people, including six from France, including physicians, lawyers, teachers, geologists, students, UFO researchers, entrepreneurs, etc..

With the slogan “Uncovering the past to understand the future” The third Expedition Brazil, as the two made the Amazon in 2005, work focused on the anthropological and archaeological research, this time studying pre-Columbian Mayan civilizations, Toltec and Aztec and its influence on the present moment experienced by humanity and its connection with Brazil, especially with regard to the legend of the “Amazons” who reportedly lived many years in Brazilian lands for purposes quite different from what appears to popular belief.

We visited the Mayan ruins of Chichen-Itza, where is the pyramid of Ku-Kul-Kan (name of one of the main Mayan gods, known as “feathered serpent”). Ku-Kul-Kan or the temple of the Amazons (queen / priestess who ran the Mayan civilization), represents the time, very well recorded in its 18 platforms, 9 on each side of the main staircase with the symbolism of the division of the solar year Mayan in 18 months. On each side of the main staircase there are 26 bas-reliefs, or 52 panels for façade matching the Mayan Cycle 52, a part of the great cycle of 5,200 tuns (5125 years) between the radii of the central galaxy synchronizers, a period which ends on the equinox in December 2012, to begin another period of civilization.

In Chichen-Itza was also seen “El Caracol”, an observatory built a thousand years ago with the rounded dome similar to the current. The tower of El Caracol sits above four coils, allowing excellent view of the sky and landscape around. Their slots or “windows” allow the observation of Venus, as well as the equinox sunset. The Maya developed the arithmetic so that it allowed an astronomical calculations with remarkable accuracy. El Caracol was carefully aligned with the movements of Venus.

The second visit was to Tulum in the Riviera Maya, also located in the province of Quintana Roo, near Chichen-Itza, with archaeological ruins are one of the most important region. Tulum has in its white sand beach and its cenotes (natural wells) as Angelica, its wonderful natural environment and its main asset. The foundation of this city appears to date back to 564 years according to some inscriptions found. In the fifteenth century the Spaniards arrived in the sixteenth century and was completely uninhabited. There is the beacon that guided the arrival of the ships through a Mayan game of natural light. This city was designated by the Mayan name Zama, meaning city of Dawn. Tulum is also a Mayan word for fence or wall, which is easily understood because the city is surrounded by thick protective wall. Tulum archaeological site is the third most visited of Mexico.

The third part of Brazil Expedition – Team ziggurats was the city ruins of the city of Coba, which peaked around the year 650. The population of the port used to Coba from Tulum to trade in goods made in the region. Coba is a great city in pre-Columbian ruins of the Maya civilization, located in the State of Quintana Roo, Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Most of the city was built in the middle of the classic period of Maya civilization, between the years 500 and 900 of our era. After 1000, the city lost political importance, although it seems to have retained its symbolic importance and ritual, which allowed him to regain a hierarchy between 1200 and 1500, when several buildings have been built in the style of “east coast”.

Coba’s main monument to Nohoch Mul pyramid or the “Castillo”, with 42 meters high. It has an astronomical observatory, a playground named for the game ball and a small pyramid at the entrance of the archaeological zone.

This village is located within a national park, were also surveyed different steles, located at different points, which confirm the presence of queens (Amazon / priestesses) rulers of the Mayan civilization, which years later mixed with the Toltecs and Aztecs, being that most of its population simply disappeared, leaving a mystery in the air about this disappearance, which is being studied by Brazil Expedition – Team ziggurats.

Urandir says that the expedition was a complete success, we collected a lot of information that are helping to draw a parallel with the Maya civilization of the Amazons. “We are uncovering important details of ancient civilizations that will help position us in the evolutionary line” Urandir stresses.
